You will probably find out down the line that I am not a genius at the internet nor am I a magnet of the marketing network. But what I lacked, I made up for my determination to succeed and the hunger for financial freedom!

Hello! I’m Raja Izam Mansur, from Malaysia, and I have a confession to make. I WANT everything. I mean EVERYTHING. Don’t get me wrong, I do have everything that everyone in my generation would ever want, my loving family, my 8 lovely children ( yep! I have been busy! ) and my flourishing design career. I am a master of multitasking as a daughter, wife, lover, sister, mother, architect, cook, cleaner, driver, chief counselor, friend, clerk, etc. You name it, I have that hat!  I was happy enough but still felt that there was something else I should be doing and wanted more. And I believe that I have found the vehicle to allow the ‘more’ to happen.

Trained to be a chartered architect, I was no stranger to hard work. My husband, who is also a chartered architect and I, did ‘ the 1^st in the office and last out of the office’ act for so many years. Together we must have invented super duper hard work! I even brought my babies to the office! We used to say to anyone who wanted to visit us to come to the office instead of to the house because we were mostly in the office. The children would come to the office after school! My kids would learn how to crawl and had their first steps in the office! Yep! It was the ultimate 3-way relationship. My kids even said that one of them wants to be an architect now as they work too hard! Don’t get me wrong, I have always wanted to be an architect and between us, my husband and I, we did have fun and designed some landmark buildings.

But my body could not take the stress. It was the classic ‘burn out’ scenario culminating in me having to spend 1month of my life, horizontal in the hospital! I lost a kidney and then took 3 more months to recover. I nearly lost my life. My youngest son was barely 2 years old.  My body was weak. My spirits were low. It was my wakeup call.

I couldn’t go back to the old grindstone again. It was depleting. I couldn’t do that to my family again. But this is the 21^st century. Its time to work smart.  Not hard. I began to dabble into the online business. Hey! I thought, how difficult can it be?

I went to courses that would claim to teach you how to do business online, learn how to build websites and how to make money and promote online. I ended up spending a lot of money! I never learnt from my mistakes, I even spent even more money buying software that allows you to replicate websites online. I wasted many thousands trying to get business online. I had squandered money buying a system that I don’t understand and don’t know how to manage.

It never made me any money. I failed miserably. It was not only that, I even borrowed money to invest! Here’s an invaluable tip – DO NOT ever spend or invest in anything using borrowed money! It is like digging a hole by the shoreline…you get buried in the hole and drown as the tide comes in! I even dabbled in a networking business but with no support from corporate or uplines and NO SYSTEM it was hard.
